FAQ |
| |
| Q |
Why
do I have to register to use the
site |
| |
Some
of the required information is
covered by the privacy act (ie
addresses). It is important that
you keep your password
secure |
|
| |
|
| |
| Q |
What
information is already stored |
| |
All
riders and horses registered with
the ESNZ |
| |
Riders
and horses that have recently
entered Waitemata, Northland,
Puhinui, Springbush and Waerenga
horse trials. |
| |
For
riders who have entered FEI classes
at Puhunui, extensive information
including bio notes will already
be in the system. |
|
| |
|
| |
| Q |
How
much does it cost? |
| |
Joining
is free |
| |
To
help cover the sites development
and ongoing administration cost,
we are adding $2 per horse to
your entry fee. |
| |
If
you choose to payment by credit/debit
card, then for most events (who
are struggling to break even,
let along make enough money to
do further course development),
the credit card fee will
be added to your entry fee. You
do have the option of posting
a cheque or paying by internet
banking (if the event accepts
internet banking payments). |
|
| |
|
| |
| Q |
How
do I add to or modify my entry |
| |
You
can add more entries online, including
making the payment. |
| |
For
any other changes or scratchings
you will need to communicate directly
with the event secretary. |
| |
Any
refunds or funds owed will be
organized directly with the event
secretary. We are not involved
in the on-going management of
the event. |
|
| |
|
| |
| Q |
What
about signatures |
| |
As
the rider is making the entry
and this is via a secure login,
accepting the terms and conditions
for the event is adequate. |
| |
If
the rider is under 16, a form
signed by a parent or guardian
is necessary. This can be scanned
and uploaded to the web site and
we will ensure the event secretary
receives a copy. Alternatively,
you can post, email, fax or deliver
it to the event secretary yourself. |

| |
|
| |
| Q |
Can I do an entry for two or more
riders? |
| |
No - due to the privacy act each rider needs their
own log on ie email address |
| |
- For a family, we recommend each rider having their
own email address (very easy to do with gmail etc) |
| |
- Changing a riders name within the same log on, may
end up with entry emails looking OK but our administration system will see all
the entries against the last rider entered
- A second, lesser preferred option is to enter all the horses under one name
and email the secretary of who else is riding what. This keeps the rider
database accurate
- A third option (not orginally part of the site design) is for us to put in a
password manually for a second/third rider, so a shared email address can be made to work.
Please email us to implement this option. |
